Community’s Love for Jazz Reconnected by Digital Marketing

It had been nearly 4 years since an ensemble of instruments was played within the walls of Jazzway 6004 headquarters. COVID-19 prevented the 501(c)(3) non-profit from showcasing its concert series, which connects the love of Jazz to the listening community across diverse origins. The extended hiatus due to the pandemic meant Jazzway 6004 first concert back had to be a huge hit as it would signify a beacon for its community after coming out of a period filled with social isolation. 

Enter Bell Digital Agency, which was brought in by the non-profit to spearhead its marketing campaign.  BDA wasted no time and hit the ground running to create a customized digital marketing package tailored to Jazzway 6004’s diverse audience and goals for the concert. By listening to its client’s needs, BDA orchestrated creative digital promotion that involved the perfect mix of programmatic displays, social media outreach, and email marketing. End-result, Jazzway 6004 “Holiday Gala†concert sold out – marking it as the fastest ticket purchase response the non-profit has ever received.

Another first for Jazzway 6004 was it incorporated live-streaming of the holiday concert which provided an affordable alternative to those who were unable to experience the concert in person. The live-streaming created a community within “the community†as comments rolled in about the unparalleled performances of Tim Warfield as he and an ensemble played hits off of his “Jazzy Christmas†album.

After the concert, Jazzway 6004 hosted an after-party catered buffet filled with a variety of delicious dessert options that made one’s mouth water at first sight. During the after-party, guests and musicians interacted sharing admiration for the musical arts. Laughter and warmth filled the space as people reconnected.

The event was not only a triumph but an embodiment of what the holiday season is all about – community.
